Tangier to Chefchaouen

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Tétouan, a historic city just 10 km from the Mediterranean. Its whitewashed medina is full of charm, and at its entrance, the Royal Palace reminds us that Tétouan has long been a favored summer residence for Moroccan royalty. Its Spanish-style district, a legacy of its role as the capital of the Spanish Protectorate in the 20th century, adds a unique Andalusian touch.

From Tétouan, we will travel to Chefchaouen, venturing into the Rif Mountains. A mesmerizing sea of blue-painted houses will capture our attention, creating a fairy-tale-like setting.

Lunch and city tour:
We will begin with a visit to the Ras El-Ma spring, where we can witness locals still washing clothes by hand in its waters.

We will then descend towards Uta el-Hammam Square, the heart of the city, where we can admire the exteriors of the Great Mosque and the Kasbah.

After strolling through the entire medina, you will have the rest of the day free.

Dinner at the hotel.

Volubilis, Meknes, Fez

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a small town of about 15,000 inhabitants, located just 30 km from Meknes. History enthusiasts will recognize Moulay Idriss as the descendant of the Prophet Muhammad and the founder of the Idrisid dynasty, the first Muslim ruling dynasty in Morocco, which governed the territory from the 8th to 10th centuries with Fez as its capital.

We will then visit Volubilis, an ancient Roman archaeological site with well-preserved ruins, including temple columns, triumphal arches, intricate mosaics, and baths—precursors to today's hammams. This was one of the most important cities in the Roman province of Mauretania Tingitana and remained a brief Arab capital after the fall of the Roman Empire.

Our next stop is Meknes, which became Morocco’s political center under Sultan Moulay Ismail (17th-18th centuries). This ruler governed with an iron fist and built the Royal Palace at the city's heart. We will visit his mausoleum and admire the Bab Mansour gate, which provides access to the medina.

Lunch in Meknes.

In the afternoon, we will head to Fez, where you will have some free time at the hotel before dinner at a restaurant with a live show.

Fez

Fez, the jewel of Morocco, is a city rich in history and culture, known as the country’s cultural and spiritual capital. Dating back to the 8th century, it is home to one of the world's oldest universities and a hub of art and science. Its narrow streets, ancient walls, and stunning architecture create a unique atmosphere. Fez’s signature cobalt blue ceramics add to its charm. A fusion of tradition and modern life, this city invites you to explore its magic, history, and timeless beauty.

Day 4

The entire day will be dedicated to Fez, a city with so many historical and cultural attractions that it requires time to be fully explored.

Our tour will take us through Fez’s medinas—both Fez el Bali (old medina) and Fez el Jedid (new medina)—which were developed in different periods of the Middle Ages.

We will visit the Karaouine Mosque, home to one of the world's oldest universities, as well as the city's famous madrasas, including Bou Inania, and iconic squares and districts like Nejjarine Square and the Chouara Tanneries.

After exploring these fascinating spots and understanding why Fez is considered Morocco’s cultural and religious capital, you will have free time for additional visits (such as the Nejjarine Museum or Borj Nord) or to shop for handcrafted goods, including ceramics and leatherwork, renowned for their masterful craftsmanship.

Dinner at the hotel.

Rabat

Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital, blends history, culture, and modernity. Founded in the 12th century, it boasts stunning landmarks like the Kasbah des Oudaïas, Hassan Tower, and Mohammed V Mausoleum. Overlooking the Atlantic, Rabat offers a relaxed atmosphere, vibrant markets, and a thriving arts scene. Unlike busier cities, it provides an authentic experience with its serene streets and scenic waterfront. Rich in history and charm, Rabat welcomes you to explore its timeless beauty.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Rabat, where we will visit the city’s most iconic monuments, including:

  • Hassan Tower

  • Mausoleum of Mohammed V

  • Kasbah of the Udayas

  • Royal Palace of Rabat, accessed via the Mechouar esplanade, featuring seven distinctively designed royal gates.

We will then explore the ruins of Chellah, a medieval Muslim fortress that is a must-see for visitors to the city.

Lunch in Rabat.

Afterward, we will continue to Asilah, a charming coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Asilah has a bohemian and artistic atmosphere, hosting a summer cultural festival that fills its medina’s walls with beautiful murals. Local artists contribute to the town’s artistic vibe year-round, while the Portuguese-era seaside walls add to its picturesque appeal.

From Asilah, we will head directly to the port of Tangier for the ferry crossing back to Tarifa.

Finally, we will transfer back to Seville, marking the end of our tour.
